Slaughtering method

Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w“…and when you slaughter (an animal), slaughter (it) in a good way. So, each one of you should sharpen his blade and let the slaughtered animal die comfortably." [Muslim]

The good way in this century is all Islamic together with the application of local analgesic/anaesthesia to avoid pain.(If you do not want to inject/IV/IM etc just apply topically).Better to avoid going deep into the back towards shoulders,just the major arteries/veins first,once the animal dies then continue.Sharp blade is mentioned specially to avoid pain.Here chicken should also be applied local anesthetic before zibah.

There should be researches for Zibah's cut and time taken for death with (1) cutting the whole throat at once i.e all arteries,veins,trachea, oesophagus etc vs (2)only the veins i.e at sides ( According to Surah Saffaat,the way Prophet Ibrahim a.s was going to slaughter his son,was making him prostrate on his forehead,might be then from back or "side",not all the way through the front.For animals back side should be avoided, only front or sides).

Hopefully least painful in this century,with most ehsaan.

The other animals who have to be killed eg rabid dogs etc,the method should be the same,not some neuromuscular poison causing epilepsy and then death.
